A clean slate

I have decided to make a clean start here on a clean slate due to the fact that my posts were getting more political than I generally like, dear reader. This is not to say that I won’t be posting entries of political persuasion or give up my role as a court jester, either. I just want to get back to my original idea of presenting opinions, information, news, the blues, and plenty of *tricksy titters*. So I hope you’ll bear with me in this transition. Many thanks to you who have contributed to this blog. You were wonderful.

I don't recall..
I made a mistake..
..I refuse to resign
..honest mistakes..
..less than precise..

At the end of the day I know I did not do anything improper..
I won't resign..

..just came down to these were not the right people at the right time..
Our Constitution does not guarantee us the right of habeas corpus..
This is important work and I intend to continue it..
..fighting corruption..
I refuse to step down.

Congress vs. Rogue Actors

On 9/11/07, Senate voted 74-24, to prohibit the Mexican Truck Pilot Program and cut off funding. Sec. of Transportation Mary Peters has ignored Congress and went ahead with the program, citing NAFTA as justification and lawyers who "found a creative way to interpret wording" i.e. "loophole" of the ruling in her favor. Sec. Peters drives "extensively" in Mexico.
