Nice to see one of my favorite actors, Bruce Willis, get his pat on, coming out publicly with his “..don’t infringe on Second Amendment..” comment. PuC is a die hard ‘Die Hard’ fan and looks forward to seeing John McClane back in action. It goes without saying the whole nation is shocked by the Newton, CT school shooting that took the lives of so many young children and school personnel and wish to express condolences to all touched by this tragedy. And meaning no disrespect, I agree gun control is not the answer. Willis put it succinctly when he said,
“It’s a difficult thing and I really feel bad for those families,” he said. “I’m a father and it’s just a tragedy. But I don’t know how you legislate insanity. I don’t know what you do about it. I don’t even know how you begin to stop that.”
Willis is correct in saying you can’t legislate insanity, but you can surely curb its impact on society by getting rid of the political correctness chimera and accept the fact that there will always be those a little bit different than the rest of us and we should single them out like we did in the olden days. Back then, we all knew about the ‘crazy aunt in the attic’ or the ‘strange kid’ on the block and we stayed alert for any signs of aberrant behavior to relay to the parents before things got out of hand. We also had institutions for the psychotic among us. Then someone stupid decided to close these institutions and open up community mental health centers that gave out band-aid lectures on how to pretend these people were just like the rest of us – only not so much. Told us we couldn’t discern oddities nor ‘discriminate’ against those who hadthem. Well, how did that work out for us?
Then, our nation’s Majestic Chumps took to stripping our souls by forbidding our God’s sovereignty over us, took prayers out of schools and the pledge of allegiance became so passe and out-dated by our High Nannies. If that wasn’t enough, it was decided by our families should be destroyed to further alienate us from one another. I could go on, but you get the idea, I’m sure.
